DAY 10 | THURSDAY, MAY 12
As a follow-up to yesterday’s questions: Did Today Matter? Another question that has come up over and over again over the past two weeks that intrigues me is: What did you learn today?
As I’ve mentioned previously, I’ve become a big fan of the concept of continuously learning. I don’t think learning necessarily has to do with the field you study or practice in. My definition of learning encompasses anything that enhances your life. This can be personally, professionally, financially, emotionally, spiritually or otherwise.
In his 30 Days of Genius course, Chase Jarvis has asked each guest at the end of the interview what they had learned that day. It’s interesting to see even the masterminds and thought-leaders have to ponder this question. Their answers vary from the personal, to the professional, to the absurd.
The moment we stop learning is the moment we become stagnant. We stop challenging what we know. We stop growing. KEEP GROWING, KEEP LEARNING.
- To listen to my body – When it’s tired, it’s time to rest.
- After a lunch with my boss: that I am capable but often get in my own way. In his words, “Just fucking do it!”
- That doing something and making mistakes are better than doing nothing.
