DAY 13 | WEDNESDAY, MAY 18
“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice.”-Meister Eckhart
So yesterday’s post was in the top 3 of my most raw and real posts. It was tough to write and even more daunting to hit the publish button. It was one of the few posts that gives a clear view into my life, my struggles; me.
When I started this blog, all I wanted was a channel to hone my communication skills and well, to use it as an outlet to share my experiences as I try to make sense of this crazy world. I secretly hoped a few people would read it (other than just my Mom that is….Hi Mom!), but I was ok if no one did. This was for me.
The reaction I got from the post yesterday on tearing down walls was truly overwhelming. The messages, texts, comments and likes are all signs that things are moving in the right direction. It’s amazing how much people can relate to you when you start to open up and get personal. Our world craves realness.
Coincidentally, the 30 Days of Genius interview I listened to today talked a lot about gratitude. Chase Jarvis’ quote sums it up nicely and was the inspiration for my post today. Funny how the universe sends you messages, hey?
“Having gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
The bricks are starting to fall off the wall that I’ve built and it feels really good. I woke up today a little lighter and with a smile on my face.
