Weekend Wanderlust – 5 | Thailand Edition

Thailand has been nothing short of wonderful.

I can see why people come here for month(s) at a time and still only scratch the surface of how beautiful it is. It is truly paradise.  There’s rolling hills to the north, paradise-esque beaches to the south and jungle or city everywhere else.

I bypassed Bangkok and decided to do it at the end of my Thailand trip and headed straight for Chiang Mai for a week. One of the bigger cities in Thailand, but full of charm and over 100 temples, the perfect mix of old and new. I crossed a bucket list item off my list here and got to frolick and play with elephants. It was one of the best days of my life. I did a Thai cooking school, wandered the night markets and got a taste of the delicious Thai cuisines from street vendors and restaurants.

Christmas was spent in Ao Nang, on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to, with friends from Vancouver. The rest of this week we are headed to the islands to try and relax 😉.

This was my first white, sandy Christmas and one to remember for sure. I think I could get used to this!

Sending Christmas love to all my friends and family far and wide!
